Kartick Maharaj sends legal notice to CM over 'monks backing BJP' remark
Amidst the ongoing forest fire crisis in Uttarakhand, five individuals have tragically lost their lives, with approximately 1300 hectares of land engulfed by the flames. Dhananjay Mohan, the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and head of the forest force in Uttarakhand, has provided updates on the situation, stating that efforts are underway to control the blaze. He mentioned a decreasing trend in such incidents but emphasized the severity of the situation, asserting that negligence cannot be tolerated.
The forest fires, which have been raging for several days, pose a significant challenge to the government and administration. Mohan's remarks come as authorities grapple with the scale of the disaster, with 388 cases registered and strict measures implemented to address the crisis, including naming 60 individuals in connection with the incidents. As Uttarakhand battles the inferno, efforts continue to mitigate the damage and prevent further loss of life and environmental destruction.
